Powers and the Magicians Corner

how about you can buy powers letting you do cool things for a high/medium price
for instance
The Floating Power!: have your penguin float for a certain ammount of time

and then you can activate the power which stays in your inventory untill it runs out of time

To buy these powers enter the magicians corner and see whats in stock
each item will have a certain time it can be used

Here are some ideas

Glowing: have your penguins body glow

colors: green,red,blue etc. each costing its own ammount of money. Only can be used when glowing is activate
